FINCA is actively conducting rigorous customer research throughout our network to better understand who our clients are, and what effect microfinance is having in their lives. The goal is to ensure that our affiliate programs are serving FINCA's defined target client base (lowest-income entrepreneurs), assess whether products and services are meeting the needs of our clients, and making changes when needed.
FINCA mobilizes a variety of means in order to achieve our research goals:

Research Fellows are trained at FINCA headquarters in Washington, DC, and sent to FINCA affiliates world-wide, conducting assessments of thousands of clients to support the improvement of FINCA’s customer services.
- Social Performance - Since 2003, FINCA International has been a pioneer in its commitment to the promotion of social performance initiatives, and reports to the MIX Market.
