Rural Clients to Benefit from New Partnership

A partnership between FINCA and The MasterCard Foundation makes it possible for as many as a half-million marginalized people living in remote areas to create their own safety nets, and save for a better future. Announced in Dar es Salaam, the $12.7 million grant supports efforts to massively scale-up operations through the use of technology, with the potential to reach as many as a half million people in Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia.

This training was completed in order to introduce the new version of the FCAT survey instrument and ensure that research being conducted for social performance and operational decisionmaking is accurate and timely.

Ecuador Clients Impacted by Floods Get Back on Their Feet with Microinsurance

FINCA Honduras Stands by Clients Whose Businesses Were Destroyed by Fire

April, 2012
Most of us work in environments that are generally safe. But that can’t be said for the majority of FINCA’s clients. An example of our clients’ vulnerability was demonstrated in February, when a massive fire swept through three markets in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where many of our clients run their businesses from market stalls. While, thankfully, no one was killed in the massive blaze, 114 of our clients’ businesses were completely destroyed, along with their merchandise.
