As noted above, FINCA does not require visitors to register or otherwise provide personally identifiable information in order to visit our site. We do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us on a voluntary basis. We do compile some non-identifying basic information from visitors to the site for internal review purposes. This includes total number of visitors, pages viewed, and other non-identifying information. We use this aggregate information to improve our website and to make your experience on our site as satisfying as possible.
FINCA does request personally identifiable information from site visitors who wish to contribute to FINCA or subscribe to our e-mail newsletter. FINCA may share this information with our service providers, solely for the purpose of performing tasks on FINCA’s behalf such as processing credit card payments, maintaining our website, or contacting donors. Our service providers are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes or to share your information with others. FINCA does not sell this information to any commercial concerns. FINCA does, from time to time, share names and mailing addresses provided to us on a voluntary basis with other nonprofit organizations whose missions FINCA believes would be of interest to FINCA supporters. If you do not wish to receive information from these groups, please write [email protected], or telephone us at the number above, or write to us at the address above. We will gladly make these changes. We do not sell e-mail contact information to anyone or share it with anyone.
We request contact information from the visitor on our donation forms (for contributions, gifts of stock, planned giving, to make monthly gifts, etc.). These forms may request contact information (such as name, email, telephone number, and address) and payment information (such as credit card number and expiration date). This information is used for FINCA’s internal purposes, such as billing, sending receipts, and contacting donors. As noted above, FINCA may share this information with our service providers, solely for the purpose of performing tasks on FINCA’s behalf.
We also may share names and mailing address with carefully selected organizations we feel our donors would want to know about. If you do not wish to receive information from these groups, please write [email protected], or telephone us at the number above, or write to us at the address above. We will gladly make these changes. We do not share e-mail addresses or financial and credit card information with anyone other than service providers who are performing tasks on FINCA’s behalf.
Under California’s Shine the Light Law, California Civil Code section 1798.83, you have a right to request information about how we disclose your personal information to other organizations for their direct marketing purposes. Our response to your request will describe your right to stop these disclosures and explain how you may do so. As noted above, we sometimes share names and mailing addresses — but not e-mail addresses — with carefully selected organizations. You may opt out of this sharing at any time by e-mailing [email protected], telephoning us at the number above, or writing to us at the mailing address above.
Communication by Telephone or Mail
If you choose to provide us with your telephone number or mailing address, you may from time to time receive updates on FINCA’s activities, including a quarterly newsletter, annual report, or other items. Please contact us if you do not wish to receive such contacts by phone or mail by writing [email protected], calling us at the number above, or writing us at the address above.
We do request personal contact information from visitors who are interested in receiving our e-mail newsletter or other information electronically. Visitors must provide their names and e-mails in order to subscribe to e-mail newsletters. This information is used for communications purposes only and is not shared with outside organizations. Our e-mail newsletters include a link that will allow you to unsubscribe from future e-mails. You may also unsubscribe by writing to [email protected], telephoning us at the number above, or writing to us at the address above.

This information is used by us for personnel purposes only and is not shared with outside organizations.
We store information that we collect through cookies and log files to track the viewing preferences of our visitors, but we do not collect personal information through these means or share the information collected with third parties.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the Web site and to gather demographic information about our user community. Unless we separately notify you, we do not link this automatically collected data to your personal information or use it for other purposes.
